Mozart á Paris
Tuesday, October 3, 2006 7:30 pm
Shattuck Auditorium, Carroll College
Charles Wetherbee, violin
Join us as we celebrate the young Mozart’s visit to
Paris with one of his most sublime masterworks, the “Paris”
Symphony. Columbus Symphony Concertmaster Charles Wetherbee
makes a welcome return in two Gallic masterpieces -- Saint-Saëns'
urbane Violin Concerto, and Maurice Ravel's legendary show-stopper,
Tzigane. And in between, in the WSO tradition, a forgotten
late-Romatic gem, Ernest Chausson's heart-breaking Symphony,
in B-flat.
